Il Vanduja delle Dolomiti

This wine is a blend of Pavana and Trevisana Nera, two indigenous grapes from the Dolomites in the Veneto Region of Northern Italy. The grapes are hand harvested and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for two months in stainless steel followed by two months in small oak barrels, barriques, then bottled. The wine is an intense ruby red colour. The nose shows aromas of red fruits like raspberries and black fruits such as black cherries. The taste is well balanced, rounded and fresh. The tannins are well amalgamated after the time spent in oak barrels and it has a good body.
It is the perfect accompaniment for strong red meats, wild boar sausages, cheeses and salamis.
