La Bolla sparkling wine is produced in Roero area near the Barolo production zone in the Piedmont Region of North West Italy. It is a careful 50/50% blend of the white Arneis and Favorita (Gavi) grapes produced using the ‘Metodo Charmat’ (the ‘Tank’ or ‘Cuve Close’ method) where the second fermentation after blending takes place in stainless steel tanks. The resulting sparkling wine is then filtered and bottled under pressure.
The color is straw yellow, and its fine dry persistence is very pleasing. Fresh, harmonious this wine develops with delicate post fermentation secondary aromas of yeast such as bread and brioche.
La Bolla is perfect alone as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to seafood and white meats. It is also available in 1.5 litre magnum size bottles.
